Looking through my inventory I saw something fun that I haven't done inworld for forever! Windsurf! I went to the other side of the island for a different view of my Vista del Mar: Las Olas home. I think I'll keep the parcel next door open for building purposes...I went around my friend and neighbor Thom's whole void sim "next door"...
And smoothly glided by Vittorio's Egyptian obelisks on the point of our island...
Before chilling for a while in my bikini and T-shirt from the old Roma "Ars Amatoria" Sex in Ancient Rome exhibit T-shirt. Hee! That was fun!

Exploring the SL5B Sims: 2nd Half
What the heck am I doing here? Starting the second half of my adventures in the SL5B sims by doing a circus-style handstand on a pedestal at the ChangHigh Freeshow of Life Light and Love exhibit...
Stopped to marvel at this tower at the White Lebed Visual Thoughts exhibit...
And looked at the dioramas at the PrimTings exhibit, which was really fantastic...
I also stopped by the Luskwood exhibit, which was interesting to me as a builder as it discussed the evolution of the look and builds of their sims...
The SL5B Dwell sim seems to have a theme of RL communities and cultures within SL such as this exhibit by the SL Portuguese speaking community...
And this exhibit about Florida...watch the gators!!

Visiting the Bog's Barber Shop
I finally got a chance to get over to the more settled Malady Bog in the Wastelands. I love how the neighbors stick to theme and play off of one another's builds at the same time...Dia has created a barber shop there. I love the "No Sweet Mullet-y Goodness" pic on the wall! I'm coming back for a trim on Monday so you will want to check here again then to see what happens...
Dia invited Des (the Guvnah of Caledon) over and before we knew it the barbershop had filled up with the likes of builder and texturer Persephone Gallindo, the head of Darkmere--Lucifer Baphomet, Caledon's first steward Khashei Steinbeck and Jun Karoda, who is sitting off to the side in this pic. We teased Des that his hair was getting a little long in the front and maybe a mohawk would suit him. There are also a few bowls in the corner that Dia uses for "extra-special" haircuts...

Emperor V Returns!!!
I stood in Caspian's new home across the way from mine at Vista, giddy and excited because Vittorio was going to log inworld from the hospital day room!!! After two months, this would be the first time I had seen him since his accident. I saw the green dot appear on his land next door and rushed over and there he was..For those of you who question the connections we make in this world...think about this one simple fact: There was a time when I thought I'd never see him again. Not because he would've chosen to leave, or over a fight, but because I--nor anyone else--would have seen him anymore inworld or in RL. So when I saw him standing there, I didn't know whether to cry or what. All I could do was hug him over and over again...
I laughed as he put on (and kept on) a clown nose...
We didn't talk about the accident beyond how much longer he'd be in (weeks yet) and how unattractive one of his nurses is ("A face only the bedpan would love"). We talked about fun things like cute guys and the land and the other neighbors throwing huge parties. Vittorio was using Caspian's computer and teasing him mercilessly, making him turn red in RL...You all just don't know how utterly relieved I am to see this face in my life inworld once again. Get well soon babes!

Exploring the SL5B Sims: 1st Half
I decided to explore the main SL5B sims. That tiny dot on the bridge is squirrelly me, as I walk over to look at the beautiful Princeton build with its displays and such at SL5B Linked...Came across Crap near his podcasting exhibit in the SL5B Hippos sim and his ankles were toast! NUMMY!
Partied with a huge group of mostly Japanese residents to a Japanese band named Yanagi...
And took a look at some art...
Which included this huge pink rabbit that rivals Lady Amber's Harvey! Lunar and I just...couldn't...look...away...

Exploring Kids SL5B...Squirrel Style
After their original exclusion from the SL5B celebration sims, the "kids" of SL decided to have their own and I thought I'd stop through and check it out for myself...as a squirrel...What I found were two sims filled with fun and whimsy...
And lots of great rides and things to do!
I was even called "adowable"...As far as I'm concerned, a whole culture's been maligned due to a few individuals. I could sit here and argue sides, but I'm not. The thing to remember is that these are not kids in RL and RL kids should not be encouraged to be in SL at all. Look, all that I know is what I saw, and what I saw were folks enjoying themselves and recapturing a time period in their lives when fun and whimsy were your most important goals. If you can't understand that very basic concept...well...

New Taloo: St John's Eve Celebration
Salut chers! I put on my Orisha robes and headed over to the opening of the new library in Taloo, where a St John's Eve celebration was going on. Kudos to Miss June and Miss Bedlamie for their hard work... Although celebrated in other parts of the world, it is considered one of the most important days in the Voodoo/Vodun religion, and the St John's Eve rituals of New Orleans' voodoo queen Marie Laveau used to draw a crowd of thousands. No drumming and crowds of thousands at this gathering...we just danced...

What Once Was...
I looked out the now barren Garden of NPIRL Delights, its grounds a dizzying swirl of colors and textures...And turned to look up at our beautiful Tower and sighed, knowing that it had to come down...
And come down it did! Kheph and I hit the "trigger" and pieces went flying everywhere! Crap Mariner filmed it and Madcow--as carrotdino--came to watch...
We even convinced Madcow to demolish his as well, and creature pieces fell from the sky...
...And onto the psychedelia of the grounds below. What once was is now no more, but it was a great run while it lasted.

And It All Came Tumbling Down...
Many thanks to Crap Mariner for filming this fun machinima of our Tower at the Rezzable Garden being demolished. It was quite the takedown!! It was fun while it lasted, and thanks to Madcow for coming to see it and then destroying his own!

Well, It's a Wrap...
The Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights officially closed tonight. I stood on my skyplat reading and responding as the group and Gardeners shared their thoughts and spread the love. I know that for me--and I think I can speak for Kheph too on this one--my sending Bettina the proposal for the Tower was one of the best things I've done while in SL.
It has been an incredible, special experience for me to be a part of this and to have helped to create and be a part of something that so many have enjoyed. I've made new friends such as Madcow, Eshi, and Jieux and have been so inspired by the works of my fellow Gardeners. Something's shifted in me. I've always been very creative inworld, but I want to expand...do different things. Do more! Truly explore the creativity that I originally came into Second Life to do. The inspiration that I feel inworld goes into my RL art and writing as well...it has been such a positive thing that way.
I don't know what my hands will bring forth next. You'll just have to watch this steampunk brass kitty to see...

At the Club with Baube
My sister Baube is in a RL sorority, so when she found out that its brother fraternity had a group in here, she joined and has had a chance to meet a lot of them. One of them, CertiPHIaBlue Waco, is a DJ at Club Brooklyn's...I had a really great time dancing with Baube and the Laval Sisters worked it! Here we are being joined by another one of her frat brothers, Kaino Hotshot...
What the Hey?
Kheph and I were checking out the build and found a piece of Crap Mariner's build from across the way after his demolition the night before! All I could do was laugh, as we were finding other pieces all night. We've decided to bring our own Tower down when the Garden closes...A view of DB BAiley's "Purgatorio"...
And the cuteness that is Yoa Ogee's "Happy Humans!"...

Update on Vittorio
I had a chance to finally meet Vittorio's RL co-worker and friend Caspian Hawker, who has been keeping me in the loop as to how he has been doing. We have talked so often that when we met, we couldn't believe it was the first time. Like Vittorio, he is a wickedly funny cutie too! Like his blonde twin! I took a pic of me holding up a get well sign for him to see and laugh at.
Caspian told me that Vittorio's doing a LOT better, already sketching out plans for his lands and bored to death in the hospital, where it'll be a few more weeks before he's able to go home. But he is talking and laughing and asking about my house. Caspian passed along some furniture store links from him so I think I'll finally buy some furniture again. I want Vista to feel like my home again...

The Garden is Almost Done...
The time at the Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights is winding down, so I thought I'd hop around on the HUD and see installations such as Truthseeker Young's "The Singularapture is Near..."There was something calming about Seifert Surface's "The Sky is Falling"...
Good thing I'm wearing red already at The Messenger's "Narrow Path to Infinity"...
Looking at Madcow's big toe at "Heterotroph"...
On a sleep orbital at Poulet Koenkamp's "Zero Gravity Garden"...
So many more I could post. Take a look at my flickr Garden set for more...

Hanging Out in Raglan
I thought I'd check out a particles class in Raglan Shire. I met Woodbury, who saw my titler and said "You are bunneh, then I am puppeh!" and sniffed me. Hee. Super-cute...Later I saw some folks setting off fireworks and thought I'd see. They recently renovated the tree platforms here and it looks really nice...
Baube & I Amuse Ourselves
Baube & I went to the Prim Hearts amusement park last night. One great thing about having RL family inworld is being able to do fun stuff like this together! We arrived there and she just said "Oooo!" and took off running...We rode the log flume, which was so much fun we did it twice...
And one of the Scrambler rides. Nothing like having it in mouselook to make one want to hurk in RL...
And this ride was no better...We had so much fun we were hungry. Wait...Baube, did you wash your hands???
