Prairie Lunch

Afterwards, we played the "Nuke the Crap Out of the USA" geography game--o' DOOM! I now know exactly where Kansas is and Puck can spell "Mississippi", but can't spell "Connecticut"! The fact that New Jersey's destruction won the game for him was not lost on us...
I then found an entrance to the sewers and down we went--and became lost. "I think we're going to run out of food," he said. "I've got candy in my pocket!" I said. Some off color remarks ensued and we were convinced we were hopelessly lost...
Until we found a way out...
Here is Crap, our fabulous host, getting his robot groove on...
Me defying gravity doing the "fanbelt strut"...
I safely was able to tp back to Vista, where I sat contemplating a big decision regarding it. It has been my home for almost a year. No matter where else I put down roots in SL, Vista and the Moorings Gardens is my home. Such a long complicated story and it really makes me think about issues of home in a virtual world...
Lapointe & Bastchild were the headline designers, but there were also pieces from Lapin Paris, Fuschia Begonia, and Terry Lightfoot...
Afterwards, Dia spun goth tunes as we all danced...
And then there was Marcus. Oh fer chrissakes...
I'm a bad mutha--
Shut yo mouth...
Me, Dia and Miss Vee sat on the stage and chatted for a while. I'm tellin' ya, sometimes I will dance by myself if the mood strikes me, ya know?
Zoe and I had our own take on the latest declaration from the Lab and think our commercial should go a little something like this...
I did! "Maybe I should just have primordial jungle and swamp!" my handsome neighbor Vittorio said. "Who needs a house and a yacht anyway?"
Am I going up?
Am I going down?
Am I going anywhere at all?
Of course, we "somehow" ended up stopping through Lafitte's, where after a hat change for everyone it's a wonder how afterwards we were all able to make it down the street to...
The cemetery, where we paid our respects to the departed who couldn't join us...
And afterwards we would our way through to the DuBois Mansion, Rudolfo's inherited home, where Mr Fernshaw, Dia and Miss Vee played. Toot that jug Mis Vee!!!
There was dancing and music and fun and we all had a great time!!
Kharon is also a tiny, and makes incredible things (such as this bomber) and outfits for the not-so-cutesy...
Later, I couldn't wait to wear Kheph's "Mi Go (Fungi)" monster AV! I love it!
I (and Dia too) also love this one--the "Elder Thing"! He did fantastic work on these between the textures, anims, and sounds...I have too much fun wearing these. Now, where to go in them? Any suggestions?
Most of the residents were gathered in the main square. I hung back a bit observing. and sure enough a big fight broke out. My being Caledonian made me question some of the language being used given the supposed 1800s theme of the place, but I could've been hearing things out of context? I don't know....
As it turns out, Yonathan--the acid spewing alien I met in the Wastelands--is also usually a handsome white winged pony...
Who looks fantastic in my clothes!
In addition to the bid posters, stories of Caledon's citizens who have been affected by cancer were displayed--including mine. I read all of them and they were inspiring, moving and heartbreaking. I think one thread in common to us all is the happiness that SL brings...
I decided I was going to bike through all 8 of the sims and brought out my trusty hobo bike. I started out in the Wastelands, went North through Burnt Oak and the North Yard and down into the Junkyard...
I want to believe that this is someone's pet just saying "Hi"...
I kept on down to Fort Stygian and around to Ashvasta and Cormac, where I found the high mesa...
I stopped to look at the Great Fissure and said hello to an alien named Yonathan. After all, just because you're a scavenger alien or a "different" being doesn't mean you shouldn't be talked to, you know? If you're a fan of creative builds and sims with a vision of theme like I am, the Wastelands is worth the trip.
Walking up the hill in pumps was a breeze *gasps for air*...
The famous Moulin Rouge...
I found this beautiful light-filled room. The sim is still in development, but well worth the visit!
