Prairie Lunch

I swam over to the appropriately named Siren's Isle, where I found a very pretty reef with lots of underwater things to explore. I was in the middle of an IM, so I swam out of the way--trying to blend in I guess. And I'll admit it was fun to do. A tiny mermaid came over to me and giggled, complementing me on my skin and asking me if I was hiding (I was!). Turns out the little mermaid was Divergence Magic, who writes a very good blog called "The Oceans Wastelands" about all things SL mer. She's the one who actually tipped me about this place. Hey Divergence, I've got lots of questions...talk again soon?
I swam over to a nearby isle (Windlass?) and found these piers...
Afterwards, I rested my fins on an island in Blake Sea Kraken and enjoyed the view...
Now you know I'm not turning down a dance! Hopefully he won't try to shoot my rabbit again...
Its underwater areas were lots of fun to explore and I found this cadre of sunken statues...
I then found my way to the SL Botanical Gardens and its mermaid grotto...
Then I thought my blue skin would look really nice in this form...
And I swam cross-sim through this really pleasant creek. I think I surprised some folks, but they were polite and didn't bother me or anything...
Stood on Shotgun Row talking to Nikita Weymann and Louhi Gothly about Mardi Gras and goings-on in Taloo. Right now there's a big hunt going on. Lots of fun stuff to be found at the artists and merchants around town (including my place, Miss Elle's Lucky #7, on Shotgun Row). There's gonna be a big parade with floats on Sunday at Noon...
I can tell ya, my being a possum wasn't the most unusual thing to see...TWO streetcards went by us (double the runnin' over trouble, I say) and a shout went out as Johnny Skosh rode by in one: "ZOMBIE!" He politely said hello to me as he went by. Guess possum brains ain't appetizin'. Gotta love this place...
Since we were on an older build kick, we ended up at Midnight City, via Aimee Weber's picks...
Phin wanted to show me something fun at Artificial Isle and I found the Hall of Justice, taking me back to my kiddie Super Friends (Wonder Twin powers...ACTIVATE!) days...
We then ended up at the Mocha Cathedral, where I'm sure Phin was thanking God he survived that Vespa ride...
And somehow he wasn't afraid to let me be the captain of the Defiant at the Indigo: Sci-Fi Geeks Museum & Theater...
Some unfortunate folks weren't able to celebrate though...
Complete with Catten as a ferret stripper, which is funny since he probably didn't have any clothes on to begin with...
There was dancing, there was serene floating in the water, tiny drinks all around and lots of laughter...
And then someone found their molotov cocktail...drinking and tinies DO NOT MIX!
They tried to get me to touch it ("Touch the magic box little squirrel!), but it doesn't work on tinies. Krystine brought out the riding ostriches, and then Remington produced a pole and made 3L dancing. I was told I was overcharged. At some point, Mrs Peterman flew off with a seagull. We were all laughing so hard it hurt. Only in Steelhead.
Made a sign for the Gearz Club in Steelhead. I'm a sucker for spinning gears and I'm glad Sheriff Fuzz likes it. If you've never been there before, you should go if only to see the fantastic floor!
Pucky came inworld just for me and I did my happy dance around him as his wicker man blazed behind us...
Later, Phin and I tangoed...
And right before my Rez Day ended at midnight SLT, Lunar thawed out the snow in Steelhead and brought green grass and "Spring"! Yay! This has been a wonderful day. You know how I feel about simple pleasures inworld and these were all wonderful. Thank you everyone!
I turn two today on my Rez Day! I am doing a happy dance to the pretty mechanical egg music box that Lunar gave me from Cannoli Capalini's shop in Babbage. It opens to reveal flowers. She makes such lovely things! Eds sent me a selection of all the cakes and goodies she has made for her patisserie so far and I think I might keel over in sugar shock. And Madcow gave me a Doom Bell avatar. Dia gave me a hilarious ThinC book based in the Wastelands called The Mutant & The Ghoul. I love it. Also, I asked a friend to do something positive for herself for my rez day. She knows what I am talking about and I'm holding her to it! This is going to be a great day!
