Lupus Awareness Fair

My friend Cleopatra Kellman is the head soror of the inworld sorority Sigma Upsilon Nu. They are holding their 5th Annual Lupus Awareness Fair all of this month with lots of events such as tonight's Carnival-themed party. In RL my husband and his mother have lupus so this is a cause that is near and dear to me...

That is Cleopatra on the right. I loved their beautiful costumes. Look up "Lupus" in SL Events and you can find more info...
Please go to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zen/118/158/22 to check it out!

The Robots Perform

The "Robots" came through to the Steelhead Town Meeting tonight...
And gave a great concert afterwards...
Their sets are always like a performance art unto itself...
 Who doesn't like floating brains?

Happy Wootmas!

OK, so we tinies love to carol and when the call goes out, we grab our carol books and go! Today we brought some Wootmas cheer to the sim of Fallen Gods (one of my fave places for fantasy skins) and had a great time performing for the biggies there! And of course we riverdanced afterwards!
I later got multiple encores when I sang from the Raglan carol book at the Steelhead Holiday event at the library. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad everyone enjoyed it!

Gone Caroling...

I thought I'd hang out with my fellow tinies and joined the Tiny Raglan Carolers for an event at Frostburg State U. The biggies enjoyed our performance a lot...
And so did the folks at the AviChoice sim. I know that I had a lot of fun! Happy Wootmas!

Groovy Times at Raglan's Wootstock!

Aww YEAH...it's the grooviest time of year in Raglan Shire: WOOTSTOCK!
Here's Songbird, who would perform...

Chance seemed to be enjoying the vibes...
 And so was Fullauto...
RayRay was psychedelictastic...
Oh yeah, and there I am. Come on out to Raglan Shire! Biggies welcome! Peace, love and waffles, man!

And He Played the Violin

I was in a pretty bad mood and stopped through my shop to pay my rent and adjust some things when a man walks over to me, violin in hand, and asks if he could play me some songs. A wandering musician, he told me that he travels the Grid, playing for those who will listen. I felt much better afterwards.

Wafflelujah! Live Music to Hype Tinies

Live musician Gina Stella stopped by Raglan Shire yesterday to perform as part of its Medieval Festival. We tinies love live musicians and they enjoy performing for us as we are a really fun crowd. She also found out about our obsession with waffles and had fun performing this special cover song just for us. Thanks Daveypup for recording this! Enjoy "Wafflelujah" in all its glory:

Tiny Fun at the Raglan Shire Medieval Festival

I love the Raglan Medieval Festival. Now in its third year, it is a celebration of all things tiny and medieval and fun. There was much fainting, waving of foam fingers and tossing of waffles onstage during a performance from Raglan's very own cover rock band, the Fuzznutz...
Live musician Gina Stella then performed for us, with Anek Fuchs keeping her company onstage. Her performance of "Wafflelujah" really brought down the house...Tinies were in the stocks. Freeing them helped go towards an animal charity...
We all lined up at soothsayer Clowey Greenwood's tent, nervously awaiting our turn...I held out my paw and was told that I needed to write more so that others could read my work, and that although being a fluffytail was my true self, I struggled with wanting to be biggie. I was given a "Don't Be A Biggie-Sicle" to combat that and sent on my way...

Raglan Shire Tinies Video: Parry Gripp Medley

All tinies know the "Waffle Song", so it's no wonder Chaffro and the tinies of Raglan Shire have put together another one of their music videos featuring his songs! Of course, I like "Squirrels, Squirrels, Squirrels!" Enjoy!

iPod "Poem" Meme...Sure, Why Not?

Thought I'd do the fun iPod meme going around. Do shuffle songs and choose the first lines of the first 20 songs that come up and post the results. Here's mine. Oh...my...

Something's going on

Like a fool I went and stayed too long
I had a lover
Can I go on my way without you
Baby, look at me
If your girl only knew
It's getting so lonely inside this bed
Remember how you used to phone up and wouldn't say your name...you'd just say Hey You
Never in my wildest days did I think I'd find someone like you
It's like yesterday I didn't even know your name
You only stay with me in the morning
Games, changes and fears
I can't sleep at night, I toss and turn
Men and people will fight ya down
I thought that love would conquer all
Qual mi conturba i sensi
I gave you all the love I got
Mata yo ga akereba owakare
What you want, baby I got it
I've got another confession to make...I'm your fool

"Tiny Thrillers" Music Video

Raglan's done it again, organized by Peaches Latrell and put together by Chaffro. This time it's a take on Michael Jackson's "Thriller"! Enjoy!

My Aeolian/Wind Harp

Sometimes I get an itch to build and create, so when I finished my landscaping, I finished my Aeolian/wind harp and placed it on the land. I scripted it so that it really does turn in the wind. Wind harps are instruments, usually stringed, that have been around since ancient times and when placed in areas that catch breezes, like windowsills or doorways, play almost haunting sounds. My parcel is set to a RL live stream of a wind harp that you can hear for yourself HERE...

New Taloo: Hot Time in the Town Tonight!

Salut chers! I love Taloo...I love the loose feel of the place, the easy breezy conversations and how we can all get together and party. Phin had a party at the club with Dia playing the tunes as folks lindy hopped and charlestoned away!Oh c'mon now, you know I was draped across the piano like always as my baby tickled the ivories. Dia joined him on the banjo and Jameson, on the trombone . Even Miss Vee came later and broke out her jug! We all had a fantastic time and I hope we can all do it again real soon! You can see a fun video of the festivities HERE. Bone sewer, y'all!

Chouchou and Blades

I decided that I felt like being in "Ghost Elle" form today and taking a tip from Bettina Tizzy's "Not Possible in RL" blog, I went to a pretty little location today. Chouchou is a Japanese band that only exists in SL, and they have a twinkling room that just charmed me...I sat in the swing at the tree for quite a while, listening to their music as I swayed back and forth...
I wanted the "Little Tiara Box" to play their songs on my land parcel at Vista and ended up at the Gyobboku[sp] store in the Sapporo sim. I love that you can sample songs and then go to a link to buy and download them...
And yet, despite that mellowness, somehow I later felt like wielding dual blades from Bitter Thorns. Hmm...I must find a sim to rock this look while doing so. I haven't fought in quite a while...

Talis Cybrary Island

I hosted a Radio Riel gig at the new Talis Cybrary Island sim. According to their announcement, the new sim is a place for computer, library and info science communities that are new to SL. Think cyber + library = cybrary.

Very pretty Venice-inspired build and Rik was spinning Celtic music that had us doing traditional dancing...

Cruisin'

While going through old LM's I found one for the SS Galaxy 3-sim large cruise ship. I hadn't been there in a long time and thought I'd bring Phin... We explored the ship, finding the banquet hall where I made a beeline for the dessert table and marveling at the size of the place. They have apartment-sized suites for rent. We were surprised more folks don't take advantage of doing so. Good for trysts, don't you think?
And we danced to romantic ballads in the ships' ballroom..."So a voice within me keeps repeating you, you, you..."

Being Proper

Here I am being a proper lady playing Kheph's glass armonica that he built. Many of you are probably either like "Elle's a proper lady?" or "What's a glass armonica?" I can at least answer the second question HERE...

ZeroG SkyDancers

I have covered the work of DanCoyote Antonelli before, so when my friend Zen (who is stage manager) scored me a ticket to his ZeroG Skydancers performance I was so excited! You are surrounded by and immersed in the set as the perfectly choreographed dancers swirl around you in shimmering fluttering costumes...
My photos just can not convey how stunning this was...
Afterwards, the dancers and coordinators came out for their bows. That is DanCoyote in the front with the spiked hair, Zen is to his right. Musician ZeroOne Paz, who created the score, is in the back center in black...
Many many many hours of very hard work went into the show's creation and they playfully collapsed at the the end. Folks always want to talk about the negative things within SL, when there are folks out there creating beautiful things for SL residents like this! If you have a chance to attend one of these performances, do not hesitate as you will NOT regret it!
