My Aeolian/Wind Harp
Sometimes I get an itch to build and create, so when I finished my landscaping, I finished my Aeolian/wind harp and placed it on the land. I scripted it so that it really does turn in the wind. Wind harps are instruments, usually stringed, that have been around since ancient times and when placed in areas that catch breezes, like windowsills or doorways, play almost haunting sounds. My parcel is set to a RL live stream of a wind harp that you can hear for yourself HERE...

Elle @ Burning Life: The "Steampunk" Builds
Being a brass kitty, I couldn't help but to gravitate towards builds of brass and rusted metals and such that were "steampunk"-y in nature, such as Perefim Cao's "Cemetery of Broken Creations" (Meta)...The lovely "Clockwork Spider" by Stormfire Leandros (Micro)...The towering "Basalt Clock" by Elfod Nemeth (Babel)...
And "Bogon Flux" by Blotto Epsilon and Cutea Benelli. This beautifully textured build was there one minute, and when I returned about 15 minutes later, it was disassembling itself and on fire...only to rebuild itself soon afterwards...I became a bit tired and thought I'd take a break and peoplewatch. Burning Life 's going on until Oct 5. Get on over there already!

Elle @ Burning Life: The Exploring Continues...
Yes, I did manage to get through all 22 sims and here are more highlights from my wanderings. I peered through the telescope at AM Radio's "Beneath the Tree That Died" ...The simplicity of Moongold Munro's "When Worlds Collide"...
All of that money swirling around me in Jenene Lemaire's appropriately named "Mirage"...
I enjoyed Shellina Winkler's "Art Lab"...
Near Dia's build I heard drumming and saw folks dancing in long white robes with lanterns and fire...I couldn't help but to stop and watch for a while...

Elle @ Burning Life: Part 1
I love the arts and creative builds, so I knew I would enjoy Burning Life. Here are some highlights for me. First, I stopped through Dia's build of the Flammarion woodcut...I hopped from platform to platform within DB Bailey's "Urban Spectre"...
Totally enjoyed the fluttering in the night of Dwayanu Weyland's "Fire Wings"...
And the beauty of Wizard Gynoid's partial model of the E8 polytope. One thing a lot of folks don't know about me is that quantum and theoretical physics, with its string theories and such, gets me hyped...Wow. Gorgeous...
That "@" symbol I'm talking to was Elsie Linden. More Burning Life to come...

Raglan Medieval Festival: Jousting Glory!
Today was the highlight event of the Raglan Shire Medieval Festival: the tiny jousting tournament...The prizes at stake? 1000L, a trophy, a golden-armored horse from Lilliput and fame and glory!
I filled in one of the 32 slots and donned my armor. My demon horse was chomping at the bit. Fox came at me on his unicorn and I knocked him. Then, a draw. Then I was knocked off twice! Nuuuu! My dreams of jousting glory were dashed...
Even King Awor took off his finery in the face of such lag. Hie squire, 1wuz, seemed to come pre-bandaged...
It came down to hatchling Eren Padar and elephant Summer Seale, with Eren taking it all. To Raglan!

RP/Themed Communities Discussion
I logged in early today to attend a discussion on RP/Themed Communities in SL, hosted by Nokia. It was mainly conducted in voice and I listened in, but the text chat was just as interesting as the attendees, who represented some of the most well-known themed areas on the grid. Those of us from Steelhead and Caledon 19th c sims were well-represented...There was a contigency from The Wastelands, whose leader NeoBokrug Elytis also attended. From Caledon, there is Duchess Gabi on the left and Her Lyonesse, the Duchess Kamilah to his left...
Representatives from the Hogwarts Harry Potter-themed sims...
Members of the military sims Ordo Invictus...
And here is Baron Wulfenbach, wearing my custom Europan-style ensemble. The event was held on Lunar's incredible build of his airship...
Sure, I could sit here and talk about it being some corporate pick-our-brains marketing event blahblahblah, but you know, for me it was extremely interesting having such a diverse group of RPers and themed sim citizens all in the same place like that. There should be more discussions like this among the themed sims, given that we actually have a good deal in common.

Storming the Castle...Kind Of...
I thought I'd explore some medieval sims since I was looking like one and came upon this castle kitchen in an Italian medieval sim. Churned some butter, kneaded some dough, then decided I was too finely dressed to be doing something like that! What was I thinking?
I then found myself in another sim, where--despite the obvious medieval look of it--I was approached by a woman barely dressed in a bikini, who proceeds to ask me if there was sex there. In Spanish no less. So, I replied back, in Spanish, that a) It's a medieval sim and b) No sex there. She told me that I was beautiful, thanked me, and moved on. Never a dull moment in my explorations, that's for certain.

The 2nd Question
Although folks have told me I have a "pretty" voice, I am not a fan of using voice in SL. Why? Well, because for the most part I don't want to. That's why. So, when I was asked to be on slcn.tv's "The 2nd Question" quiz/talk show I was a bit nervous...okay, very nervous. Outside of Kheph and Phin, I haven't talked in SL for any extended amount of time. Given that it was an Industrial Revolution theme, I was hoping that my knowing all sorts of "useless" trivia came in handy. I was slower to the buzzer than I would have liked , but I didn't do too badly. It was kind of fun, although I wasn't a fan of some of the questions I was asked, but that's just me as nerves + "what the???"-type questions = an even more nervous me. You can watch it on their site HERE when it is posted...

Dia's Partnering Party
Dia and Dewitt threw their partnering party at their place in the Wasteslands tonight. They had three tiny party crashers from Germany who stuck around and seemed to have a great time... There was a really great turn out of their friends...
I couldn't help but take this pic of Zeroyel and a friend who was a budgie at the time. Sorry I don't remember her name! I was teasing Zero about hogging the spanakopita Greek yummy goodness that had been set out. Great fun and congrats!

Cutest Thing EVAH...A Tinies Wedding!
I had the pleasure of attending a wedding in Raglan today! Legolas Caewlin and Blodwynna Smalls are a couple in RL who will be getting married next month...They decided to share the fun and their joy by inviting the tiny community to a medieval-style ceremony in Raglan!
The ceremony was so sweet and here they are with their wedding cake!
At the reception, we tinies got our groove on with medieval dances made just for the occasion by Peaches and Apollo! The tiny community is fun-loving and accepting of tinies (and biggies) of all shapes and species! I had a really good time. Thanks for sharing this with us Legolas and Blodwynna!

Can I Get Fries with That?
I found myself at Madcow's store. I asked the chef if I could have fries and he got a little testy...After having fun looking at Madcow's fun creations, Lunar stopped by to see the progress of my little mainland plot as Madcow gave me one of his sculptures--"Rise of the Sandwich"--for it. I am working on adding more art and soon I'll truly open it to the public.

Wanderings of Lady Fluffytail
Good morrow, my faithful readers! Phineas Messmer--Lord Fluffytail of Acorn (I do so love his van Dyke beard and moustache!)--and I, his Lady, attended Raglan's Medieval Festival. I played a carousing tune upon my lute, but alas, our ears soon began to trouble us...When m'Lord had to attend to other business, I, Lady Fluffytail, went upon my way to Renaissance Island, where I found a most unusual sword...rooted in a stone...
The lands were empty so I was free to roam amongst the lovely buildings. I saw no signs of quarantine, so the plague can not be blamed...
All the world's a stage, and the squirrels merely players...
O forsooth! I must not soil my dress as I cross this open sewer. I might be a rodent, but that is ne'er a wondrous sight to behold! Ew!

Raglan Medieval Festival: Ye Tinies of Olde
This weekend was the kickoff of the Raglan Medieval Festival, which will be taking place until Sept. 28. We shakethed our tiny booties at the ball in the castle...I got lost and hungry in the maze. I found a friend who offered to share his food. I shared my waffle in return...
When I finally made it out, we set up my catapult next to it. King Awor of Blabbermouth made a scriptie thingy that rezzes tiny-friendly poseballs to sit on and be flung across the sim. Zayn didn't...quite...make...it.
Here you may see King Awor's finery a bit better...
As well as that of Raglan's head, the knight/scoundrel/scourge Zayn Till, with his waffle on a stick. Everything tastes better on a stick!
