While away in Toronto at a history symposium, I missed a big Steelhead event celebrating Tensai's birthday. For his wife, Lunar created a spectacular Escher-like "Tensai in Wonderland" build for the dance...
The blocks spell out the word "aishiteru", which means "I love you"...And you should have known the steelhead fishies would be there!

Enjoying the Lighthouse in Mayfair
Due to RL extenuating circumstances regarding Phin's job, we have decided to enjoy the pretty waterfront parcel in Caledon Mayfair as much as possible for however long he can continue to have it. It made me think about what is important, and when one has to choose between what's best for their RL vs. SL, RL must always come first. So if he needs to let go of this in the future, that bridge'll be crossed when we get to it. In the meantime, sipping wine and watching the sunset over the Caledon Firth is the moment we'll enjoy for now.

It's Not Easy Being Green
I have a great time finding costumes for Steelhead's Friday themed parties. Tonight's was Oz, so I thought I'd go as Elphaba/Wicked Witch of the West...Hmm...can brooms be used as a fighting technique? Just wondering...

Building Away in Steelhead!
I have been very busy inworld lately, between trying to finish up some new dresses and menswear for the warm weather months and creating new buildings in Steelhead Harborside. I'd post what I've done so far building-wise, but a certain elf insists upon being surprised by them.
They are based upon this 1897 church building in Antelope, OR and the historic 1897 Martinson's Cabin in the WA town Lunar & Tensai live in and should be down by the end of the week. The cabin will be a post office and the church will be a small museum, although I haven't decided upon its theme yet. It'll be either historic preservation, quilts, the Pacific NW, or Steelhead itself. I might even change the exhibit according to what I feel like and I hope that folks will enjoy it. I truly love to build and like the idea of creating something nice for others in the community to enjoy.

Bryn Oh's Immersiva
Dia had been telling me about artist Bryn Oh's Immersiva sim. I remember her steampunky creations from the Rezzable Garden and her installation at SLRFL last year and finally got a chance to go over and see it with Phin...As we stood in the water, I truly enjoyed the spare, yet detailed pieces...
The detail on some of them was incredible...
I loved the huge "Ferrisquito"...
But this one? With the seedlings that float away one by one on delicate strands? This one was my favorite of them all...

Walpurgisnacht: Steelhead
It being a 2-day celebration by the Consulate, the Walpurgisnacht cavorting continued the next evening in Steelhead Boomtown under an exploding volcano. I had a great time twirling around the fire in my demoness form, hooves and all...Fuzz looked pretty werewolfy...
Now there is the demon Lunar that I danced with last year. I really like the horns that he has now! It was a lot of fun...
Sometimes we get new visitors to Steelhead at our events, and tonight a new resident to SL visited us. She told us we were the first folks to be so nice to her and we all gave her pointers about adjusting to life inworld. She stayed the rest of the time and told us she had a great time. I wish her good luck in her experiences in here. Sometimes it is finding nice folks and that kind first impression can set the stage for our lives in SL to come.
