A Shining Little Hope
I have been involved in the Caledon Relay for Life team for the American Cancer Society. This weekend, I participated in the main event. SL's Relay for Life has raised over $115,000 USD so far! It was really moving for me and was very personal as my mother is a survivor and I have lost three loved ones to it.
Thank you so much to all of you out there who donated your money or time to this cause...it's so wonderful to know what even a virtual world can make a difference.

Hey Linden Labs...WHAT THE?
What is going ON in SL right now? These are some of my shots during crashes...
The crashing, the non-existent TPs, the limbo, the ruthing, the getting stuck in place. I even watched my bunny swirl and levitate. This is ridiculous. Forget Voice and fancy atmosphere effects. Get basic things straight like your servers and lag!

Greenie's Home Rezzable
You walk in and wow!Gryffin (Jr.) and I visited the Greenies Home Rezzable sim today. I had heard so much about it that I had to visit. You know, it's sims like this that make SL such a wonderful place and if it's possible for me to feel giddy...I was giddy there--despite the horrible, horrible crashing I have been experiencing. I have NEVER crashed as badly as I have today!!!
Gryffin gave me a copy of his wings and at one point we were just flying up and down together looking at everything. Toooooooo much fun!

U-G-L-Y, You Ain't Got No Alibi...
That was the greeting I got as soon as I logged in today. When everything rezzed around me and I stood there looking through the glass of my bedroom wall, I could see a huge green and red dragon sitting outside on my lawn...burning up stuff...AGAIN.
Baube.
"C'mon out! And bring your little bunny Lag!," she said. "I need a snack and I'm hunnnnngry!"

New Artwork for Vista del Mar
After going to the Steampunk photo exhibit in Grignano, my friend Gryffin Hax (Sr.) came by to help me hang his painting, "Celestia Madonna," that I bought at his exhibit the other day. He owns the Inkyboy Gallery in Caledon Eyre and does fantastic quick portraits. You have to stop by to see them...
I think it's a beautiful addition to my SL art collection and it is stunning at night.

SL Bloggers Group Party! (YARR! There Be Pirates!)
Ahoy me mateys! Had a chance to hang out with the folks from the SL Bloggers group at a pirate themed party! The Caledon contingent was well-represented with Zoe Connelly, Hotspur O'Toole, Otenth Padenborn and me. Sir Telemachus showed up just to dance with us all. Hotspur's a whole lot of fun to dance with, but watch out for that kick, lol!
Tiana Meriman took video so you might be able to see for yourself! There was a really good turnout--enough to crash the sim! We all just came back and kept on going! After all...a party in SL just isn't a party until you've crashed the sim!

Parcel Music Gone in 5 Days?
I love parcel music, whether it's at a private property or at a location out in the SL world. I've kicked back humming Miles Davis' "It Never Entered My Mind" surrounded by photos of jazz greats at Common Grounds, danced on a rooftop garden to the "Moonlight Sonata," and shaken it to Shakira at a friend's home.
That could end--at least for American web radio stations--on July 15. A new ruling in Congress really increased royalty rates retroactively for webcasters. We're talking enough to sink a lot of web radio stations. This could have quite an effect on us in SL, as a lot of us depend upon these independent stations for our favorite web radio streams.
For more information, see the SaveNetRadio website.

Inventory Cleaning
Inventory cleaning is a MUST and something I had to do as my inventory soared to 9609 items! You can often find me on one of my barrels by the grapevines, sipping some Tennessee whisky as I'm culling, sorting, and deleting.
Today, Kitty joined me in inventory cleaning, laughing as I tried on some very ugly skins and some very ugly clothes. You had better believe those got deleted! Why were those even IN there?
And no, I'm not on the ground because I couldn't handle my liquor! Kitty told me something that made me faint (but not a drop was spilled and somehow my glass kept making its way to my mouth).
