Parcel Music Gone in 5 Days?

I love parcel music, whether it's at a private property or at a location out in the SL world. I've kicked back humming Miles Davis' "It Never Entered My Mind" surrounded by photos of jazz greats at Common Grounds, danced on a rooftop garden to the "Moonlight Sonata," and shaken it to Shakira at a friend's home.

That could end--at least for American web radio stations--on July 15. A new ruling in Congress really increased royalty rates retroactively for webcasters. We're talking enough to sink a lot of web radio stations. This could have quite an effect on us in SL, as a lot of us depend upon these independent stations for our favorite web radio streams.
