Your SL Home's Where Your Heart Is...
I couldn't take it anymore. I just couldn't. For months, since V put his lands up for sale, I have endured a parcel behind me that has gone unsold for 3 months, and a succession of neighbors for whom terraforming tools should never be made available to them. For weeks I have had to look at this crap across from me...
This is what this area used to look like. Across from my 5000 sq m total lots were rolling hills, gorgeous landscaping, and ponds that V created, as well as a nice-sized central lake perfect for swimming, windsurfing and sailing that was there when I first moved there almost a year and a half ago...
Here you can see in this old pic that the lake was a nice size once...
But as you can see in the pic below, the neighbor that created the plateau mass across from me not only narrowed the lake by more than 50%, but also closed the water channel access that emptied into the void sim next to us, which is good for sailing too. This move, along with the unsold land and our now utterly devalued properties since the rest were now being sold for 1L/sq m, spurred my long-time neighbor T into action. Like me, he lived there for about a year now. He sent a notecard and email to management (as I did after him), asking them to please re-terraform and make the lands presentable for prospective buyers. He got a rather rude and "oh well" kind of response back. Me? I got no response at all.
I worked on my garden, carefully landscaping it, trying to make it all beautiful to counteract the ugly. In my adjacent lot, I pulled back some of my land as I wanted to reclaim water and created a pretty little island for a pavilion. I was about to add a waterfall at the tea house when it struck me...WTF was I doing? Why was I holding onto a lot that cost a ridiculous tier for such crappy service and disregard? Sentimental reasons? Screw that. It was time. There was only one thing that I could do...
I found a pretty 1/4 sim lot for a steal, lots of prims, only 3 neighbors, privacy and a tier that costs less than my 3000 sq m alone's lot. It's so rough right now as I'm still terraforming and building, but I'm happy every time I look outside now.

All My Builds...So Far
I love to build...structures in particular, although due to space limitations, I don't get to do it as often as I'd like although I'm quite the architecture fan. Here is a listing of all of my major build projects so far. I'll keep updating this list as I do new ones:
Vista del Mar I: The Moorings
The house on the left was inspired by L. Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson's international style...
Vista del Mar II: Las Olas
Same inspiration as before, but also traditional Japanese architecture as well. The environment itself with the water inspired the namesake "waves" on the roof. I also retained the green roof...
E.Laval & Inkyboy Gallery, Caledon Regency
Inspired by the Carson Pirie Scott building in Chicago with its cast iron round tower, although the facade itself is from a photo Gryffin took of the Santa Fe building that I tweaked...
Trenton House, Caledon On Sea
Sin retextured the window/siding to one with less windows, but the structure and front display textures are unchanged. He wanted a very simple low-prim house that resembled a Colonial-style seafarer's home that predated the "later" Victorian styles...
Laval Point, Steelhead Harborside
Steelhead is based upon 19th c. Oregon, and I had an irregularly shaped lot. The lighthouse is based upon the RL Yaquina Bay lighthouse, built in 1871 in Newport, OR, and the oldest lighthouse in Oregon...
Tower of Industrial Judgement, Rezzable Garden of NPIRL Delights festival, 2008 (w/Kheph Enoch)
I really enjoyed making this build with Kheph. We had way too much fun and it was beautiful...
Steelhead Museum of Historic Preservation
A pet project of mine, it is based upon the 1897 Antelope Community Church in Antelope, OR...
Steelhead Post Office: Harborside Station
Based upon the Martinson Cabin Museum in Poulsbo, WA...
Steelhead Navy Headquarters and Columbia River Tackle Shop
Based upon Cannery Row in Monterey, CA...

Hanging Out in the Wastes
I asked Dia "What's a wheelie tree?" Turns out it's this fun creation that she made to chill out on over in the Wastelands. I love the Wastes, and damn, it just felt "hot" 'n' dry there, you know? At some point I had to take off the vest that I was sporting...
I stood in the Bog water for a while before getting comfortable on an old beer crate at Dia's barbershop. We shot the breeze talking about partnered life, nekos, content creation, the culture of the Wastelands, and all sorts of stuff before Dia pulled out a Steam Forge gun and got to shooting for real. Hammers, fire, lightning, chickens, you name it! Truly fun.

SL Blogger Party and...Auction...
This month's SL Bloggers party was hosted by Veyron Supercharge and many well-known bloggers put themselves up on the block. The winners essentially got to have them as their "slaves" for the day...
Um, no...I had no intention whatsoever of putting myself up on the block although Zoe assured me that she would have certainly bought me. I am, well, not exactly the "slave" type...
Zoe, however, as head SL Blogger did a first and put herself up as one...with Veyron in red there spurring the crowd on to bid. I am not publishing Zoe's topless shot. Yes, I know. Sorry everyone! And bid they did, with Zoe going to Codie for 50,000 L! I'm looking forward to next month's!

Elle's Wild Ride...in a Cop Speeder
I seem to find myself in the futuristic sim of Suffugium a lot. My friend Case (of my infamous banana pron incident) IM'd me, asking if I'd like to go for a spin around Suffugium in his cop speeder. He must've known I needed a break from my design work so I popped right over...
I promised him I'd hold off from making oinking noises and asked him if that was a baton in his hand or was he just happy to see me. Yeah, I know, but I couldn't resist. I got as comfortable as I could, gave the probe the finger ("Sub-Citizen THAT!") and we were off!
At one point I eyed the door to get out. He gave me a look like, "You know this is a cop car right?"
Yup...upside-down. *urk* In the end, I told him I think it was just an excuse to try to use his cuffs...
