YAY! A New Shop in Raglan!!!

Look at the smile on my little squirrel face. Why? I got my new shop up and running in the new Raglan Shire tree city! It's so pretty there, with lots of fun, quirky little touches...

I feel so lucky and love the spot that they gave me next to the lift. I got to work right away putting everything up!

I even have a balcony!

 It has a great view of Heron Shire. I can even see the Great Tree Steve! 

"The Cats" Building a New Raglan!

I am so excited! We Raglan merchants will be allowed back on the new Raglan Shire sim soon. In the meantime, I went up to the build to take a look around and ran into Pan. This is my new shop in the "Birdhouse" section. I LOVE IT!

Along with head builder Nil (left) and a crew of tinies known simply as "The Cats," they have created a spanking brand new Raglan Shire tree city of platforms with Tudor-style shops and buildings...

Pan was working on the bucket lift next to my shop and had Nil and me to ride on it and test it out with her. SO much faster than the old acorns!

Adventures with Prim Feet aka Die Prim Feet DIE

I have a weakness for beautiful shoes and these were no exception, except for the fact that when I tried them on, they were shoes with prim feet. Now, I have avoided prim feet and shoes with them like the plague, but I was like "Oh well, they're nice shoes, I'll go for it." Don't mind my pose stand (which sinks my toes into it), I just wanted to fit them well and this is the basic skin color for them... I checked the options and there was not a way for me to easily do the color match way of tinting one's feet that I prefer, so I had to toggle dark, light and RGB +/- buttons. To get anything close to my skin color took the following clicks: 24 dark, 8 red+, and 1 blue + and even then it wasn't quite right as my skin has this lovely luminous realistic look that contrasted with the flat look of the feet...
And I'm not even going to talk about the fact that the shoes were no mod with no EZ sizing or way to adjust those cool black bands. Arrrrrrgh...I had to toss them back into my inventory as they're unusable to me. Well, I really did try. Damn! OK, my fashion moment is over, back to exploring and such.

Resting A Bit

Things have been so busy, but finally I was able to curl up on my comfy sofa in my sky gazebo to catch my breath for a bit! Should be releasing some new pieces soon. Designing is hard work! Speaking of designs, I'm not a fashion blogger, but I got so hyped when I saw this Zaara "Mrinali" dress that I am wearing. You can't see the asymmetrical hemline on it, but "Wow." I love it. I actually don't like to shop (*gasp*) very much, but this dress had to come home with me! Okay, that one and like 5 other outfits too...

On a good note, the Fantasy Faire raised over 2 million Lindens ($7000 USD) for SL RFL! I am glad I participated in it and thank you to all of you who attended and gave.

So Many Fashion Expos, So Little Time!

Those who really know me, know that when I shop, I shop big, so when I heard about two different fashion expos going on right now, I started twitching I was so excited! I first headed over to the SL Footwear Expo where I drooled over the offerings from Maitreya and Shiny Things and other designers. I picked up a new pair of cute wedges...The following day I went to the Beachwear & Lingerie Expo at Vanity Universe. I came inworld to an IM from Codie simply saying 'LMLMLMLMLM me!" If you love beautiful lingerie like I do, go ASAP! I really loved Carnal and Insolence. I ran into a bunch of my fellow Plurkers running around buying up stuff like crazy. I "might" post a pic in one if you ask nicely ;-)All I can say is that Hair Fair is coming up soon too. I am going to lose my mind...
