I enjoyed myself so much at Mill Pond that I was back again. This time I'm at the Tryst coffeeshop relaxing before wandering off again...

I discovered the community of Mill Pond today, which has beautiful stone buildings, coffeeshops, a tavern with live performances, and a scenic pond, complete with swans. I came across a tiny alien today who had a spaceship following him. When I told him that he was cute, he said no one has ever told him that before, produced a magic staff and made kisses, cats & dogs (lol) and flowers rain down for me. How sweet!
When I saw this replica of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House, I thought it was fantastic! Even down to the interior and furnishings. I can't wait to visit more builds like this! SL makes it accessible for all of us to visit architecture icons like this. Located on Architecture Island at The Homestead, which is a central point for many RL architects, you'll find displays about architecture and some interesting builds.
In my RL, there is snow. In my SL, wind chimes and the calming sound of waves as I chill on the beach at Tauer Drymonia with my friend Bruce. Where is he? I think he had flown off to check out a cute little island with cabana nearby.
I thought I'd party for a while last night, which isn't something I normally do in SL. I'm more of a wandering type, exploring the world and constantly being amazed by all of the creativity. But sometimes, a girl's gotta dance, you know?

I thought I'd check out the International Spaceflight Museum. I'll admit that I love space-related things: rockets, the stars and planets, spaceflights, so I took a TP over to it. I visited the planetarium and really enjoyed looking at the recreations of famous rockets. I even got to ride in one--the Titan--and took a trip into outer space, where I visited the different planets in our solar system. A whole lot of work and time has gone into this. It's well worth the visit.
In real life, I love art and art galleries, so it was only natural that I'd join the Arts Council of Second Life and visit art galleries and centers in SL as well!
I love this place.
There's a really cool re-creation of the city of Dublin.
Imagine if you are new and think that pretty much anything is possible in a world where you can fly, go anywhere in the touch of a teleport, and change your appearance with a quick click.
