I was told about this Hyperformalism exhibit by DanCoyote Antonelli quite a while ago by my friend Zen, who did the scripting for it. It took me so long to finally make it, but I was so glad that it was still up! It is on a series of levels with interconnecting clear platforms and pods. I thought it was beautiful, its centerpiece being a prism of shimmering color hundreds of meters high and beside it a golden one, its edges more jagged and reaching into the sky as well. I flew through the colors, enveloped in them...
I had to play with the pixel board where you get to create your own designs on it on the smaller board, which is reflected on the huge one. I went for an American Southwest pattern...
And among all of that I found a little piece of Caledon in this house that represented Zen's life in Caledon...
I am glad that I wore my dragonfly wings that have flight assist (which you need) built in. Here I am 1000m up looking down at the whole thing...
I took my time walking through and really enjoyed it! You can find it at the Arts and Letters sim.

SL Bloggers Party: Guns 'n' Car Chases!
Headed over to the Topgol sim to hang out with my fellow SL Bloggers for our monthly themed party. Hosted by Mygdala March, this one's theme was "Guns & Car Chases". I threw on my best tight blackness and rushed over. "Hurry!! Come on the roof!" Zoe said, and a tp was quickly sent down to me. Good thing, as everyone was strapped and anyone down below was fair game! It's always nice to see a bunch of us in one place like this...
I wish the Victorian/Steampunk bloggers would come out more. As much as they like to party? And c'mon...Hotspur...guns are your thing!
Afterwards, I thought I'd sit quietly with Marcell in his store, Kakita's, courtyard...

Silly Fun in ROMA
Ave Citizens! I used to spend more time in ROMA in my pre-Caledon days, so when my partner-in-fun asked me to join him I threw on my toga, golden sandals and Patrician tag and hurried over!We ended up in the Market where we found this treasure box...
...With me inside it! I had so much fun with the box that it definitely came home with me!

Out in the World
Puck is a host-in-training at Dublin's Finn Mac Gee pub. I hadn't been to Dublin since I was a wide-eyed noob, 7 days rezzed, so I thought "Why not?" and had a really good time...Afterwards, we went Halloween shopping and found this great lava build at Liquid Heat...
How did I end up in the apple bobbing barrel?
And I suppose I lit Uncle Fester's bulb...There's an image I won't be able to forget for a while...

Fightin' Elle
Today was the Caledon Loch Avie Academy of Arms' tournament...I did fairly well today, especially in the 2nd melee...
Here I am before the tourney, testing out the space:And with the Claymore, which is my weapon of choice:
I really do enjoy the fighting, and even the practice--especially when I have a great opponent. I don't mind eating dirt if I've had a good fight.

SeptemberFest! Beer Wenching It Up!
Attended the SeptemberFest Party at Newbe Writer's place in Caledon SteamSky City. All Dia told me was "wear something wench-y", so I did. Upon my arrival, I was given a huge bottomless stein by Radio Riel DJ Lord Edward Pearse and waltzed with Gryffin. Wunderbar!Lady Primbroke and Mr. Hassanov in their Groucho glasses...wait, what is in Mr. Hassanov's stein?
Afterwards, I ended up on the outside patio of Mr Nix Sands' new shop. Tea or absinthe? Decisions, decisions...

Scarecrows & Sailing
I entered the Steelhead Harvest Festival Scarecrow contest...mine is the one with the sign...It was very nice to have all three of us Twitterers together: me, Otenth and Chrysocolla Rau. We talked about sailing and Otenth was able to compare the ships as he is interested in buying a Trudeau Tahiti sailboat like hers. Mine is the smaller Sea Sharp and we looked at my Caledon-retextured Flying Tako so he got a good sense of the different sizes. I took him around Murdann in my Sea Sharp and didn't crash once. You know...I must figure out this "wind" thing...

Interesting Build in Caledon Regency
I had the pleasure of meeting my Caledon Regency neighbor Nix Sands recently. Yes, he is the glowing ball of light to the left (time traveller, non-corporeal body...you get the drift). While he is building his store, he has been creating interesting builds in his lot. I wish I had a picture of the crashed genie bottle, but you can see in this pic how the salvage operation went!

A Nice Lazy SL Day
Had a nice lazy day in SL today. I took Alex out for a sail around the waters near his island and my home...And here I am checking out the new land that he surprised me with a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful temple on the top of a high hill. He hired a builder to create it and it is large enough to throw balls and parties. He is so sweet and good to me...
Those wings? Mechanical, steam-powered ones by Ordinal Malaprop. They have a great "surge" feature when you double tap the direction. And the breastplate? I was fighting again...

I'm Back Baby!
Of course, one of the first things I did upon my return yesterday was to dance at the Radio Riel GenX party. Jet lag and something/one else got the best of me and I left early, thinking that I'd be productive or something and work on my Regency land.
Not so nice for vacation to be over, but it's nice to be back inworld again. Since I've been gone, Caledon's gained 50 million new sims (no really, lol, only 4 water sims), and folks I know have decided to try their hand at being matches made in SL heaven--even one of the biggest cads I know. Is it something in the water (sims)?
9 days people. I've only been gone 9 days. A lot can happen in just that short of a time, huh? Then again, SL time is relative...
I can only laugh.
