SL Simple Pleasures: Pets

I don't know what I was upset about enough to lie down on the grass like this, but my little pet bunny Sunneh hopped over right next to me and promptly fell asleep. I will admit that I thought it was extremely cute. Lunar said I looked drunk. Nothing like friends sometimes, huh? As far as I am concerned, if I am on the ground and my glass of whiskey (that works even while down) isn't in my hand? Not drunk.

Bringing Our Pets With Us

I originally bought this Zooby kitty for a friend , but hit "Purchase" instead of buying it as a gift in SLEx. So now I have a sweet little B&W kitty of my own!. She reminded me of my RL B&W kitty I had and named her "Nefi" after her. I rezzed her at the gallery and Gryffin enjoyed her following him all over the Caledon Northern sims while I stepped away. It made me wonder how many of us have our former, much-loved pets here in SL, and it seems I'm not alone...Here is Dia's Leonidas, after her childhood goldfish Leonidas...
And Kheph's Nikky, after his favorite rat Nicodemus. I believe it's nice having pets in SL, and it feels good in a way to give them the familiarity of ones we once loved and have lost...
